Get Latest Chelsea Transfer Gist

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is looking to sign 22-year-old Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala and 20-year-old Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Marco van Ginkel.

Jose Mourinho told a reunion with Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder will cost £12.75m. The 29-year-old played for Mourinho at Inter Milan, and could become a deep-lying midfielder if he makes the move as opposed to the attaching role he played for the Special One 3 years ago.

Mourinho drop heavy hint that Chelsea will welcome 27-year-old Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to Stamford Bridge if he leaves. United may be feeling streetwise Mourinho has started mind games on David Moyes to force him take rash decision on the unsettled striker. Mancheaster United has a policy of not selling their top players to Premier League rivals.

Mourinho interested in 19 year old Schalke’s Julian Draxler, 19 who recently signed a contract with 45m euros (£38m) exit clause.

Mourinho reconfirms John Terry as captain but may have to deal with not playing so many games.

David Luiz has been allegedly told by Mourinho to“play my way or you are out”. Mourinho himself said has not held talk with the defender about his future, yet Luiz does play his own style of football. Every player does though. Mourinho will however talk to John Terry, David Luiz, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata to decide who will be part of his Chelsea masterplan, with speculation rife Torres would be the unlucky one. The Special One wants Romelu Lukaku back plus a big name striker.

Barcelona held initial talks over a £20m move for Fernando Torres. But Torres may be used by Chelsea in deal for Napoli striker Edin Cavani.
